Technologist, Lead Product Owner, and Artist · Arlington, VA

Tyler Zanona

AI Technologist by day - I ship AI and SaaS products where quality is measured in adoption, efficiency gains, and trust. Creator by night - I'm building multiple consumer applications and a video game where the line between watching a story and playing it disappears. Nine years of experience, starting from hands-on development work for large technology consulting firms and then evolving to strategic product leadership. I prefer to prototype fast, get into the weeds, and build with both hands.

The story so far

Technologist by trade,
Artist by nature.

Technologist

I started my career as a developer at Booz Allen Hamilton — JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Java backends, Angular frontends... all in complex, high-stakes public-sector environments. That's where I learned the thing I still believe most: oftentimes, the difference between good and great is speed of execution. Prototype fast. Perfection is the enemy. DIY is king.

Lead Product Owner

As a Lead Product Owner and Manager at Accenture, I've moved from writing the code to owning what gets built — translating customer needs into roadmaps, defining minimum viable product, mentoring and managing globally distributed teams, and championing platform strategy with our clients, vendors, and senior portfolio leadership. Today, I lead the strategy, design, and deployment of production AI agentic systems end to end, and regularly consult with clients around the globe. I've spoken as a featured speaker at ServiceNow Knowledge 2026, and still prototype hands-on with Claude Code to accelerate delivery and explore the art of the possible.

Artist

I have been a songwriter, photographer, and creator my entire life. I will be until the day I die. I bring that passion and creative thinking to every single thing I do - from my consumer facing applications that I've been building in my spare time, to the video game I'm adapting from one of my father's short stories, to every single agentic system I design and project I manage. My creativity informs my approach to every project, to how I lead my teams, and to how I choose to live my life.

In flight

My current (and growing) list
of passion projects:

A game, a garden, and a city lived from day to night — I own each of those projects from vision through design, code, and craft.

Bodfish

Designer · Developer · Composer · Visual Artist

A narrative game adapted from a short story written by my father. No cutscenes — every scene is a purpose-built mechanic, so the player never stops playing the film. I'm designing the branches, writing the code, and composing the score.

Very early prototype

WHIFF

A tiny iOS game about being hunted by creatures that track you by smell (yikes). Every step leaves a scent trail the creatures follow. Decoys, traps, portals, and other fun tools buy you a moment to breathe. Don't let them catch you.

Beyond the projects

Hobbies, skills, and other interests

Speaking

ServiceNow Knowledge 2026 — "Rise of the AI-Powered Service Desk," on the conference stage.

Music

Indie rock and folk songwriter. Currently working on an album of ten tracks, and the original score for Bodfish, written scene by scene alongside the game mechanics.

Photography

Street photography, lo-fi portraiture, and candids mostly — sometimes on film, sometimes in 3D.
